I am late in sending a message, but have wondered about Marty several times. We met when he lived in Palm Springs, CA. I had a common friend who lived in his apt. complex. We fast became best friends. To say we had fun is an understatement! I lived just around the corner so it was easy for us to get together. We both loved to laugh & talk like sailors, we danced many times, & I listened to him play his harmonica so well. I cried when he left to return to Olympia. I have so many wonderful memories of our friendship & still can hear his voice. Bless you kind Marty. I miss you. XO

Marty was a great friend through High School, we got into trouble together and had lots of crazy times! Loved hanging out at Egans and running from Officer Flynt! Rest in Peace my dear friend! Till we meet again, see you on the other side! - Hal Shillander

I hadn't seen Marty in years but still hold close so many memories of childhood. Walking to kindergarten together, riding trikes, birthday parties, playing kick the can and watching TV at his house. Rest in peace Marty. Love, Blo
