I worked with LT. Sills at WCC prison. It was a privilege to know and work with the old school, leader of men that told some great stories about his military service. My condolences to his family. Correctional Sgt. (Retired) Claude Bennington

I'm very sad to hear of Hubert's passing. I met him when we were in prison, working. He was my lieutenant and I was the slacker. He inspired me to change and to look for bigger things than my current status. Years later, my Frau, Gabriele became acquainted with his wonderful Frau at Sacred Heart. Subsequently we found each other during walks around the neighborhood. I learned a lot from Hubert, he truly epitomized what a leader is supposed to be, putting others first and providing examples of courage, kindness, and fortitude. God rest your soul, Hubert.

Uncle Hubert, you were the finest man we ever had the privilege and honor to know. We thank God we were lucky enough to have you in our family. Thank you for your exemplary and selfless service to our country. Our country owes you a debt of gratitude than can never be repaid. You will be sorely missed from our lives, but you will live on in our memories forever. Thank you Aunt Chris for being the rock in Uncle Hubert's life. He loved you and his family so very much, and was so proud of each of you. God has gained a wonderful soldier...
