Alice, I'm sad that I can't be with you and the family as you celebrate the life of your mom. Please know that I'm sending my love and will be thinking of you all. Although I only spent a precious bit of time with Grandma Guenther, I have a memory that stands out clearly in my mind. I treasure the sunny afternoon when I sat with her at her birthday party, pouring over a photo album with pictures spanning her lifetime. I got to see that famous twinkle in eye (that is captured particularly well in her photo on this page!). We were looking at a glamorous photo of her in her early twenties and I made a cheeky comment about her great legs. She smirked and acknowledged that I was right... and flashed me that twinkle. That's the image that will always come to my mind when I think of your mom. What a treasure. Hugs Donna
