Good Bye Aunt Dawn, I will miss knowing you are in the world. Your kindness, smiles and interest in everyone will always be remembered. Even as a small child, I can remember your laugh and I can remember you crying when your favorite country singer, Jim Reeves died. I know you invented the blending of peanut butter and jelly together in a bowl and making sandwiches for all of us to eat on the way to the State Basketball tournaments. My Mom was always so happy to see you and you always made her laugh. I know you will find each other again. Dancing on the stage with the girls at the school talent contest is a memory of you that my sisters and I share of your endeavors to be creative and involved in all of our lives. You were the aunt who organized "fun" when we were young and you always encouraged smiles. I think of you often when I am reading a good book and suddenly remember I have to make a creative casserole. Your summer famous, "Suzy Wong Casserole" is a good memory of how fast you could cook for a crew while you finished your book! This summer, I took my granddaughter to the woods and showed her how to make brides and wedding parties out of flowers, just as you showed us when we were little and I told her, "My Aunt Dawn showed us how to do this when I was your age." The little things you shared have gone on a long way. For Peter, Sooty, Mike, Mark, Robin and Tim - The Fredericks girls in Drummond will never forget your Mom. Our hearts are with you. Love, Colleen - Wisconsin "Perhaps they are not really stars in the sky, but rather openings in the sky where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy."
