Wendy Floy Everett passed away July 8, 2015 in Olympia, WA. She was 74 years old. Wendy was originally from Bellingham, WA of parents Bruce and Nina Banks. Wendy was the devoted wife of Joel David Everett, MD for 44 years who proceeded her in death in 2008.
Wendy graduated from Western WA University with a degree in Chemistry in 1963 and married Joel that same year. She went on to the University of Washington to earn a teaching degree, and taught math and science at Mercer Island Middle School. Wendy loved life, her family and adventure. She traveled the world, including a trip to St. Petersburg, Russia.
Wendy was a generous soul who helped many who were in need. She also was an animal lover and took in every stray that showed up on her door. She loved her family with all her heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters Rebecca O’Sullivan and Allison Everett, her grandchildren William and Reagan Stiles and her brother Bruce Banks.
There will be a memorial for her at her home on August 9th, 2015 from 1-5pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Humane Society or the American Stroke Association.
