Potluck Family and Friends Gathering: Following the Memorial Service starting around 5:00 p.m . at the family home, 15841 Bald Hill Rd SE, Yelm, WA 98597.

Samuel “Sam” D. Bennett, 63, a resident of Yelm, WA, died on May 9, 2021 at his home. He
was born on November 12, 1957 in Bluefield, West Virginia to Fred and Francis (Gadd) Bennett.
Sam married Suzanne “Sue” Crawley on January 4, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they both lived for the next 5 years. Sam and Sue moved their young family to Pahrump, NV, then moved to Eastern Washington in 2001. Sam and Sue made the move to Western Washington in 2003 and have lived here since that time.
Sam loved to fish and build model cars. He also enjoyed watching the deer down by Lackamas Creek, right outside his home with his dog and constant companion, Buttercup.
Sam was a carpenter by trade for 40 plus years. He was well loved and respected. He was a
wonderful loving husband and father.
Sam is survived by his wife and 12 children, 52 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Sam is also survived by many brothers and sisters. He is loved and will be missed.
A memorial service will be held on May 22, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 5930 Mullen Rd SE, Lacey, WA 98503. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a potluck dinner at the family home , 15841 Bald Hill Rd SE, Yelm, WA 98597.
