Roger Miles died December 5, 2015 following a brief illness. Roger was born in Bakersfield, CA on November 27, 1934 to Quincy L. Miles and Clara Elresa Krause. Following his graduation from high school, Roger enlisted in the Army with an immediate transfer to Alaska.
On a brief trip to Asheville, NC, Roger met and fell in love with Betsy Brigman. Roger returned to Anchorage and shortly after he realized he wanted Betsy with him. He sent her money and she flew up and they were married the same day, July 7, 1954. Following his discharge from the Army, Roger worked for the Department of Highways in CA. for many years
Roger and Betsy shared a wonderful married life traveling with Roger’s company and finally settling in Lacey, WA at Panorama. They were married just shy of 60 years when Betsy died on December 6, 2013.
Roger is survived by his son Ronald C. Miles of Oregon, grandchildren Gabe Miles and Brieanna Miles of California. Burial arrangements are by Woodlawn Funeral Home.
