Robert Joseph Quesnel 1931-2016
Bob Quesnel died on March 23, 2016 in his home in Olympia. Bob was surrounded by family at the time of his death. Bob was born on Friday November 13, 1931 in Red Lake County Minnesota and grew up in that area. He and his wife were married in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1951. The family has lived in the Olympia area for about sixty years .Bob retired from the Department of Transportation in 1986 and was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church in Lacey.
Bob was our husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend; he will be lovingly remembered by us all. Surviving are his wife Patricia; their children Virginia (Ken) Malmin and Steven (Jackie) Quesnel; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His daughter Barbara (Curt) Malen died two years ago. Bob is also survived by a brother Wayne Quesnel in Minnesota. He was predeceased by his parents Wallace Quesnel, Florence Davis Bies, and his brother Darold (Margaret) Quesnel.
In respect for his wishes, the funeral services were private. There was a viewing at Woodlawn Funeral Home before the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church; followed by his family witnessing his burial in the family plot at Woodlawn Cemetery.
