Peggy Sarjent Ross

Peggy went home to be with the Lord, March 18, 2021. Born April 26, 1937 in Salem, Oregon to Delbert and Margaret (Shoemaker) Daniels. Peggy moved to Olympia, Washington when her father accepted the pastoral role of First Christian Church in 1951. She graduated from Olympia High School in 1955, and     continued her education at Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Oregon, where she attended for 2 years. She later attended South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, and completed her Early Childhood Certification. She was married to Arthur Sarjent, of Olympia, in 1957.

Peggy started work in 1972 at Evergreen Christian Center in their daycare and then transitioned to their preschool program. She left Evergreen in 1978, and started the preschool program at Westwood Baptist Church, and continued there for several years. She was an active member of Westwood Baptist Church, signing in their choir, leading women’s Bible Studies, and later the grief support group after her husband passed away in 2003.

Peggy met her second husband, Louie Ross, while leading the grief support group and they married in December 2009. They resided in Elma, Washington.

Peggy is survived by her husband Louie Ross of Elma; daughter Laura Baldovin of Olympia; son Asher Sarjent (spouse Pam) of Boise, Idaho; daughter Mardi Sarjent of Montana; along with 3 grandchildren:    Andrew Baldovin (spouse Briana) of Olympia; Janna Baldovin of Bothell, Washington; and Hilary Sarjent of Boise, Idaho.
