Paul D. Brownell, 57, passed away peacefully April 27, 2017, at Mother Joseph’s Care Center, with family and friends by his side.
He was born April 28, 1959, to Edwin M. and Catherine Brownell, in Olympia, Washington.
Paul loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting with his family and friends.
He was employed for 27 years by the North Thurston Public School District, Transportation Department, and worked with coworkers that became family.
Paul is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Brandon Brownell and Sarah Brownell-Engel and husband Paul Engle; one grandson, Russell; three brothers, Steven, Charles, and Mark; eight sisters, Anne Marie Grinstine, Mary Pat Heiser, Kathleen Evans, Jeannie Gosney, Virginia Davis, Rita Brownell, Ruth Overman, and Margaret McCarron; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edwin L. Brownell.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the North Thurston School District Education Foundation.
