Joaquin Quitagua Cruz, age 73, also known as “Kin Emma” born November 11, 1941 and died December 26, 2014. Kin grew up in Agat, Guam. He is a retired CSM, Army & served for 34 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Quitano & Guadalupe “Emma” Quitagua Cruz, reared mother, Ana Q. & Francisco Jesus; siblings: Antonio & Meredith Cruz, Lourdes & Jesus Toves, Francisco Cruz, Jesus Cruz, Benny Cruz, Frankie Cruz & Lourdes Q. Cruz.
” Kin” is survived by his wife, Jesusa L.G. Cruz, four children: Emmie Truelsen (husband Robert), Joaquin “Jr.” Cruz, (wife Dawn) , Lugene Cruz & Vera Amado (husband Hector). He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Marcus Rutledge, Trisha Munoz, Courtney Cruz, Tanya Munoz, Trella Amado, Vanessa Amado & Gregory Amado & great-grandson LaMonte Taylor. Kin is also survived by his siblings, Antonina & +Francisco Palomo, Rosa & +Frankie Cruz & +Benny Mendiola, Annie & +Johnny Salas , Mary & David Susuico, Jose & Genevie Cruz. Reared family Vicente & Mary Jesus, +Joseph Q. Jesus, Carmen Jesus Tenorio, Frankie Q. Jesus.
Viewing and visitation will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 12:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic church on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 9:00a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Lacey, WA .
