Herb was a Korean War Veteran and was always proud of this monument. He would get asked to speak on Veteran's Day and talk about the "forgotten war."

Herb was a Legislative Coordinator and a newly elected Lacey City Councilman when he was interviewed for this article. His goal was to see Lacey keep its identity, grow and become a prosperous community.

This is the cover of a program where Herb sang with "The Inheritance" singers back in 1977. They were quite a group!

I was very sadden to hear the passing of Uncle Herb. I am unable to attend the service, but I want to send my love and prayers to my cousins, Herb Jr, Sabrina, Danae, Alicia and Ashleigh. I remember as a child I would be so excited when Uncle Herb would visit ,I will always remember his amazing smile and powerful voice.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Herb's family. He was also part of the WSECU family for many years. We were lucky to have Herb serve on our board of directors and remain connected to the end. We'll always remember his beautiful singing voice at the annual holiday party and just last year he led the room at our annual meeting for the Pledge of Allegiance. Herb was interviewed a few years back for WSECU history and to this day we share his remarks at our New Employee Orientation. Every single new staff member gets to hear from Herb. He will be missed.
