Elisabeth Charlotte Cave, 62, of Olympia, passed away on Monday, May 25th, 2015 at Providence St. Peter’s Hospital after a long battle deriving from complications from Multilple Myleoma. Elisabeth was born September 12th, 1952 in Trabitz (An die Waldnaab), Germany. She was raised by her grandparents in Pressath, Germany. In 1982 she met a U.S. soldier that swept her off her feet on her 30th birthday. James Cave proposed to the love of his life on Christmas day in 1982. They were then married on May 21st, 1983.
They made their home in Germany where all three of their children were born. They moved to Ohio where Elisabeth was diagnosed with Mulitple Myleoma in 2005. James and Elisabeth moved to the Pacific Northwest. Elisabeth enjoyed knitting and making blankets for cancer survivors. She loved time spent with family.
Elisabeth is survived by her husband James of 32 years; Her children Melanie Bryner (Mark)of Eastfield, OH, Jennifer Ekstrand ( Mark ) of Mayfield, OH, Jonathan Cave, Sandy Sok both of Olympia, WA ; Her Grandchildren David Bryner, Jordan Ekstrand, Abigail Ekstrand, and Andersen Ekstrand; Her aunt Herta Marx of Pressath, Germany; and numerous cousins.
A viewing will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Woodlawn Funeral Home located at 5930 Mullen Rd. SE Lacey, WA. Family will greet friends and family from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Providence St. Peters Hospital or Western Reserve Oncology.
