Denise Lynn Hopkins, 55, of Tenino, Washington passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Denise was born December 28, 1958 in Tacoma, Washington. Selfless, kind, soft spoken describes Denise. She lived simply with things she had and didn’t consume her life with material things. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and friend.  She was the oldest girl in her family and caregiver to both of her grandfathers.  Denise loved collecting rocks and driving her corvette. Denise will be sorely missed by all who loves her. 

Denise is survived by her father Donald Thomas Hansen; her stepmother Wilma Hansen; two sisters Dawn Marie Mortenson (Jeff) of Olympia; Deborah Ann Hehr (Steve) of Maple Valley Washington; two brothers Donald Hansen Jr. of Tacoma; Daniel Hansen (Cheryl) of Salem Oregon; her grandfather’s Stan Hansen and Dale Herzog both of Tenino; three children Michael Amell of Houston, Texas Stephanie Amell of Yelm, and Kelli Hopkins of Tumwater; four grandchildren Wyatt Amell, Kylie Paladin, Skyblue Anderson, Chase Jones; a celebration of life will be held at Offut Lake (Bronson Country Clubhouse) on June 28th 12:00pm. Cremation services were performed by Woodlawn funeral home in Lacey, Washington.
