On Tuesday, February 9th, 2016, the world lost a great father, adoring husband, profound family man and dear friend when Dave Cherry lost his battle to his health issues. Dave was born May 25th 1958 in Columbus, Georgia. He grew up in a military family and this eventually led him to him moving to the Pacific Northwest. He attended and graduated from Clover Park High School and eventually found himself managing the Villa Plaza Movie Theater. It was there, where he met his first wife Susan Cherry and had two beautiful daughters, Jessica and Audrey Cherry. Dave’s career catapulted once he jumped into banking. First at US Bank followed by a few other institutions. He quickly made a name for himself in Mortgage lending and excelled in the new home construction arena. He found extraordinary success at Venture Bank as the Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending as well as meeting his current wife, Angela Cherry who loved and cared for Dave through his final days.

He is survived Angela Cherry (wife), daughters Jessica and Audrey Cherry, step sons Jeremy and Zachary Myers, mother Martha Cherry, brother George Cherry and sister Susan Cherry-Walters. He was preceded in death by his father George Cherry.

Special thanks goes to Renick and Lou Ann Stiles (father and mother in-law) and brother in-law Thomas for their unwavering love and support during Dave’s challenges with his health. Also, thank you to Sue Cherry for being so supportive during these past years.
Dave was a rare individual that touched so many lives with his always positive attitude and caring for those around him. He will be forever missed by his wife, four children, many family members and more friends than he ever knew he had.

A celebration of Dave’s life will be held Saturday, February 27th at 1pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 5930 Mullen Rd SE, Lacey, WA 98503.
