Memorial services are scheduled at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Lacey, on Thursday, August 1, 1:00 p.m.  Al will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.

Clarence A. “Al” Borley, age 94, died July 9 at 10:30 p.m.  Al was born on July 17, 1924, in Williston, ND. He spent his early years in Medicine Lake, MT, and graduated from Yakima High School, Yakima, WA, in 1942.  On February 28th, 1945, Al married Lenora Benson of Yakima.

Al joined the US Navy immediately after graduating high school. He trained as a fighter pilot, and remained on active duty for the next 26 years.  He became an “ace” during World War II and received numerous awards and decorations for his service.  After retiring from the Navy, the Borley family moved to Olympia. He began working for the Department of Revenue and served for the next 16 years as Assistant Director.

In addition to his beloved wife of 74 years, Lenora, Al is survived by two daughters, Diane Chrisler of Olympia, WA and Debra Borley of Boise, ID and one son, Robert Borley of Sammamish, WA.  Also surviving are two granddaughters, one grandson, and two great grandsons.

Al will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.  Memorial services are scheduled at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Lacey, on Thursday, August 1, 1:00 p.m.
