Christiana M. Cheshire, 81
Mrs Christina Cheshire (nee Modl), was born in Jan 1935 in Kleinaupa, CZ to Franz and Teresia Modl. The oldest of 9 children, she had an active childhood with many friends while growing up within a large loving family. She met the man of her dreams, Tom Cheshire, while he was stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany, and they married in 1959. Since then, she served as a devoted army wife and mother moving 11 times during her husband’s 34 year career including 4 overseas assignments, relocationing to North Carolina, Texas, Missouri, and their final military post at Fort Myer, VA. While stationed at Ft. Myer, Chris spent countless hours volunteering as an Arlington Lady, representing the U.S. Army. After Tom’s retirement from the Army, they resided in Lake Ridge, VA for 7 years before finding their dream home in Lacey, WA where they’ve resided since 1994. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, their children and grandchildren, along with her siblings.
