Elizabeth Carolyn Cranke, 95, was born on July 4, 1923 in Kansas city, Kansas to Lillian (Talkin-McDaniel) Sprout and Frederick McDaniel, Sr. and passed away in Monroe, Washington on October 3, 2018. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Cranke, Carolyn Fries & Lauretta Barmon, brothers Ralph Sprout & Fred McDaniel, Jr., sister, Peggy Yates and grandsons Nicholas and Patrick Barmon and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Cranke. Memorial services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Lacey, WA on October 11, 2018 at 1pm. Elizabeth (Betty) was born in Kansas, but her parents moved to Oklahoma City when she was a little girl and that is where she was raised. She married Lawrence Cranke in December 1941 and they moved to California briefly, then moved to Olympia, WA and that is where she lived for the next 60 years. In 2005 she moved to Sultan, WA where two of her daughters live. The last 2 years of her life, she lived in Monroe, WA. She was a retiree of the State of Washington. She was active in many clubs such as the Olympia Rose Society, Mushroom Club, Manchester Terrier Club to name a few and volunteered at the USO, Ft Lewis and Dept of Corrections. She loved her family, dogs, music, gardening, fishing, knitting & crocheting. She will be deeply missed.
