Gabriel Ledesma-Guardado, 60, was received into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, surrounded by his family, on June 11, 2018. Gabriel was born in El Plateado, Zacatecas, Mexico. He moved to Guadalajara, Jalisco at an early age to work and completed trade school to become a certified Electrician. Eventually immigrating to the United States, with stops in California and Washington State as a farm worker, he was invited to a church service at Calvary Baptist Church in Brewster, WA. An event that would lead him to accept Christ and dedicate his life to ministry. He met his future wife at CBC, and they had 3 children. He was later a wildfire fighter during the summers and performed forest maintenance during the off season to help prevent more wildfire’s. He was a kind-hearted man who thought of no one as a stranger and had a great sense of humor. He left a lasting impression on those who spoke with him, he was a great listener and knew when to be light hearted or give words of wisdom. His love was felt when he walked into the room. Gabriel was a recipient of a donor kidney. He was a donor himself and in death will be helping people with his donations. Gabriel was preceded in death by his father, Pablin Ledesma and his mother, Margarita Guardado-Ledesma. He is survived by his wife Guadalupe Ledesma, his sons Aaron and Jonathan, and daughter Sarah Marie. There will be a public viewing at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Lacey, WA on Friday, 6/15/2018 from 12pm-5pm, located at 5930 Mullen Rd SE Lacey, WA 98503. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, 6/16/2018 at 10am at the First Baptist Church of Lacey located at 4705 22nd SE Lacey, WA 98503. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Swedish Medical Center Foundation at https://community.swedish.org/donate. They showed Gabriel great care during his kidney transplant and recovery. Also, please consider becoming an organ donor yourself.
