Diana Kinson-Stein Diana Kinson-Stein, 64, passed at home in Olympia, WA on May 17, 2018. Diana was born Aug. 5, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas to Joe Kinson & Noriko Kelly. She lived in Japan with her family until moving to Lakewood, WA in 1957. She made lifelong friends while working at the Lacey Denny’s where patrons would find her smiling face & swinging ponytail for over 30 years. Her altruistic nature lead her to care for friends & strangers she’d encounter through her line of work. It was at Denny’s where she met her husband on St. Patrick’s Day, 24 years ago. Her interests included gardening, camping, playing Bingo & watching eagles nests on a live cam when the internet was new. She loved the Seahawks & watching true crime television, Judge Judy & the Ellen Show at VOLUME 100. She was proud of her children & 4 grandchildren & loved her pets through the years. Loved ones who knew her in various capacities will find a common thread that weaves their stories together. A theme of resilience, extreme sass & spunk, compassion & a wonderful sense of humor. Her smile, wit & quick smack on your arm until you laughed at her joke will be deeply missed. She is survived by her loving husband (David Stein), daughter (Elisa Stippich + Family), son (Sean Erickson + Family), sisters (Linda McDowall+Family & Terry Larson + Family) & her mother, Noriko Kelly. Diana will be joining the party in the clouds with her father (Joe Kinson), step-father (William Kelly), niece (Stephanie McCrea) & her best friend (Carolyn Clark) and we all know she’ll be late. Celebration of Life will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Lacey, WA on Saturday, May 26 at 1:00pm. |
