Gerald Lloyd Everitt Gerald Lloyd Everitt, age 90, died in Lacey, Washington, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. The cause was complications from pneumonia. Jerry was born June 7, 1927, in Twin Falls, Idaho. Soon after, his family moved to Meridian, Idaho. Upon graduating from Meridian High School in 1945, Jerry enlisted in the Navy and served until after the war ended. He then married his high school sweetheart, Gladys Sales. As they raised a family of four children, they lived in several communities in the Northwest while Jerry established his career with Sears. Jerry retired from his position as manager of the Sears store in Bellingham, Washington, in 1989.They moved to Lacey in 1993. Following Gladys’s death in 2006, Jerry married Glenna Dill, a long time friend. They not only became a couple, but joined two large families together. Survivors include wife Glenna, son Gary (Pam) Everitt, son Robert Everitt, daughter Betty (Ken) Lochner, goddaughter Lisa Cerveny (David Russell), brother Herb (Rae) Everitt, ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by wife Gladys, daughter and son-in-law Jody and Lynn Hornbrook and their children Seth and Elisabeth, daughter-in-law Lisa Ward Everitt, brothers Harold Everitt and William Everitt, and sister Althea Everitt Cerveny. Glenna and Jerry were devoted members of the First United Methodist Church of Olympia. A memorial service will be held there at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 1224 Legion Way SE, Olympia, Washington. Relatives and friends are welcome to join us in celebrating the life and love of Jerry. A reception will immediately follow.
