Burial Date: June 12, 2015 Services for Mr. Bernard will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lacey First Ward, 1602 Ruddell Road SE, Lacey, WA. Viewing will be 10-11:30 a.m with the Funeral Service at noon. A reception will follow at the church. Graveside service will be at Woodlawn Gardens following the reception. |

Terry Vincent Bernard died June 7, 2015 of congestive heart failure in Lacey, Growing up in Baltimore, MD, he graduated from Baltimore City College. He was the first in his family to attend college. He graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in political science in 1956. In 1961, he graduated from The University of Washington Law School. He passed the Washington State Bar in 1962. Terry moved his family from Seattle to Lacey in 1972. He was a member of the mountaineers. He climbed all the major peaks in the Pacific Northwest. Terry was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in many church capacities, including seminary teacher, gospel doctrine teacher, home teacher, high counselor and bishop. From 2002-2003, Terry served a mission with his wife, Pat in the Madrid, Spain temple. He is survived by his 8 children, Cynthia Wheeler (Aberdeen WA), Alan Bernard (Thailand), Rebecca Bernard (Elma, WA), Douglas Bernard (Layton, Utah), Kathleen Jex (Coppell, TX), Judy Howard, (Gilbert, AZ), Brenda Andrews, (Pocatello, ID) Angela Danielson, (Bartlett, TN). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren as well as his brother, Tony Bernard (Bountiful, UT) and two sisters, Shirley Robinson (Murray, UT), and Reva Dailey (Ivans, UT). Viewing will be held on Friday, June 12, from 10-11:30 at the LDS stake center, 1602 Ruddell Road SE, Lacey, WA 98503, followed by the funeral service at noon. |
