William “Bill” Boland was born on October 28, 1932. He passed away on April 23rd in Olympia. He is survived by his wife, Winnie, and his two sons, Tom and Jim. Bill graduated from Seattle University and the UW Law School. He later worked for 33 years at the Attorney General’s Office. Nationally recognized for his expertise in contract law, he wrote a 1,200 page book on the subject with fellow attorney Deborah Cade. Bill was thoughtful, quiet and gentle. He loved animals, especially cats. When he was not working, he liked to read, fish and play golf (but not at the same time). His memorial is at South Sound Manor Memorial Event Center in Tumwater.
