Robyn Michelle Buck was born February 16, 1971 and died September 30, 2015. Born in Bellevue Washington, Robyn was the 6th child born to Norman Richard and Joan Buck.
Robyn obtained her GED in 1990, and then went on to graduate with Summa Cum Laude honors from California State University, Fresno, with first her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, followed shortly after by her Master’s Degree in Communications. Robyn earned many scholarships and awards along the way.
Robyn held several different professional positions over the years, but her favorites were those where she spent time helping others achieve their goals and dreams. She was also a successful public speaker and had a consulting business, where her dynamic personality served her well.
Robyn bought her home in Lacey WA in 2004. She loved her neighborhood and the friends she made there. She was extremely intelligent, with a quick wit and great sense of humor. Those who had the pleasure of hearing her laugh will never forget it. Robyn was also very musically gifted. Her songs at special events and remembrances were a gift to those in attendance.
Robyn is survived by her father Norman Richard (Pat) Buck of Olympia WA, her mother Joan Buck of St. Maries ID, her sister Cheri (Mike) Koch Garrison of Edgewood WA, her sister Tamara (Darin) Laine Edwards of Bellevue WA, her sister Debbie (Dale) Pritchard of St Maries ID, and her twin brother Rick Buck of Bellevue WA. Robyn is also survived by her beloved Nieces Tiah (Chris) Pate Godfrey and Amanda Koch, and Nephew Jackson Pritchard of St Maries ID. She is also survived by many cousins, great nieces and friends that have been loved as family. Her beloved dog Bella has been adopted by her friend Lori Herth. Robyn was preceded in death by her brother Robert Buck.
A private family viewing and service was held October 2, 2015. A memorial celebration will occur November 6th at Providence St Peter Hospital in Olympia WA.
Although she brought joy to many, Robyn was a private person. She did not often share her own needs; instead she focused on helping those around her. In remembrance of her, her family asks that you remember her belief that “everyone is doing the best that they can.” Don’t judge or dismiss those who are different, instead, be kind and offer help.
