As I sit here staring at this mans picture I instantly develop a lump in my throat and tears run down my face. This mans name is Niels. A man with a great love to see all have joy in there lives. I was blessed to be invited to a Cabo trip Feb 2016 by my bf Janet, Niels stepdaughter. I was a bit concerned how I was going to get from the airport to the time share. As soon as I arrived Niels and Janet were waiting for me at the airport. My worries was gone and all I felt was joy. It was the first time I met Niels but it felt like I knew him forever. He instantly made me feel like I was part of the family. The whole week I was there he insisted to be our driver. lol! He loved it! He took us into town, shopping, sight seeing, eat yummy food and more. He had such a calmness to him. All of would start laughing and seeing his sweet smile made me happy. After the week was over I knew Niels would have a place in my heart forever. I was hoping we could all come together again. Well, maybe not in this life time, but we shall meet again my friend! Thank you for being so kind to me. Kay my heart goes out to you more than you know! I love you and I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you can find some strength and joy in the great, fun memories you once had together. Until we meet again Niels Love u bunches Michele

In 25 years that I have know Niels he has always been happy to help me whenever I needed a hand. He will truly be missed by so many friends that loved him. I know that he is resting in peace, is happy and looking over all of us as he sings with the angels.

Niels was and always will be my mothers love of her life. She always said how lucky she was. He was so good to her. Niels was good to all of us. Niels and my mother loved to travel. One of their favorite places was Cabo. They would spend weeks there, just relaxing, enjoying the peacefulness. They both loved the sun, starring at the ocean, hoping to catch a whale pop up. Niels was not a stressful man, he just went with the flow. Always there to help. My son was moving from Las Vegas to Washington and Niels drove the Uhaul truck for him. Niels cracked me up how he ate leftovers for breakfast. He would put an egg on spaghetti and call it breakfast lol, Niels had a way of putting a smile on your face. I loved Niels, I'm going to miss him very much. Niels will forever be with us. I love you mom, I'm here for you and will see you soon.

Of course we only knew Niels as an amazing part of my real estate team. Always there for me; always on time with a smile on his face and suggestions for whatever the job required. He generously gave of his time when we were preparing our home for sale ... and then donated ideas and suggestions when we bought something new. Over the years, I had a chance to get to know him ever so slightly, hearing a tiny bit of his travels and life. We'll miss you Niels and know that you're looking down from heaven keeping watch over all the houses and lives you touched.

Niels was just the most amazing man - we loved him, we laughed with him, and we think the world of both him and Kay. We remember perhaps silly dreams of living in Costa Rica with a float plane and a bar on the beach. Niels had a zest for life - always giving, always loving and always finding the positive. We will never, ever, forget his laughter, his love of travel, his zeal for new experiences, his love for Kay. Kay was the love of his life - and she supported him always. We travelled with them, had dinners, and always enjoyed being with them. His passing is truly a gap in our lives. Kay - we are here for you - we love you. Never forget that - and perhaps we can still do the bar on the beach - it's still possible!
