Mike Vancil, 50, lost his battle with stage 4 cancer on March 31, 2019; but it was not without a hard fight. He fought cancer with grace dignity and a bit of dark humor.  He was surrounded by his beloved family; his wife of 25 years Windy Vancil, twin daughters Sarah Vancil Hebert and Ashley Vancil.  Additionally, he is survived by his father Lawrence Vancil and brother Marcus Vancil; he called   his beloved dog Winston his son. Mike treated everyone like a brother or a sister and he will never be forgotten because of his strength, stubbornness, and determination. Mike loved everything that involved using his mind and hands which God gave him for creating. Mike will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, nephew, father-in law and friend. He was born to love and teach, and we will continue to feel his love and learn important life lessons through the memories and stories that we share.  Mike’s message to everyone is “be happy” and to “live long and prosper.” Mike will be deeply missed and in his words, “See You Later Alligator”.
