Merle A. Crater passed away on October 3rd, 2019, surrounded by family. She was born January 19, 1945, in Maddock, North Dakota to Norma Anderson. In 1951, she was lovingly adopted by Alvin Anderson. On April 13th,1996, Merle married Thomas Crater in Lakewood, WA.
Merle was preceded to Heaven by her loving husband, Thomas; a daughter, Tiffany Shepherd; and a grandchild, Wilson Shepherd. She is survived by daughters Jamie Shepherd and Melissa Shannon, and six grandchildren.
Merle will be remembered for her great sense of humor, being very giving to anyone who needed anything, and for the love she showed her family. She was very creative, loved painting and doing other crafting activities. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed cooking for family. Her garden was always beautiful. Outdoor activities were a favorite of Merle’s. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and loved spending time with her pets.
She will be greatly missed.
