He is survived by his mother Cathy Carroll, his father Mike Barber, his brothers Jake, Michael, and Austin, his nephew Mikey, his nieces Angel, Penny and Savannah, his fiancée Stephanie Parsons and his soon to be born daughter Juniper “June Bug”.

Matthew was born on April 17th 1992. He graduated from Timberline High School in 2010. He worked at Delin Docks Marina while attending college at University of Washington Tacoma. Matthew dedicated much of his time to helping the community and schools. Matt was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Matthew was a very spiritual and loving person who was always working to better himself. He loved the ocean and enjoyed music, art, and film but most of all spending time with his family. He was excited about his recent engagement to Stephanie and the upcoming birth of their daughter “June Bug”. He will be loved and missed so much and no words can express how much he meant to all of us. He made the world a better place and was a comfort to everyone that knew him.
