Kenneth R. Huff died January 29, 2017; he is now at peace. He was born in Akron, Ohio, on March 7, 1953, to Park and Betty Huff. Kenny came to Washington as a young child. His family settled first in Georgetown, and then Des Moines. He graduated from Mt. Rainier High School in 1971. In 1975, Kenny married his wife, Linda. During their 41 years together, they settled in Olympia and raised their three children, they worked hard, they vacationed, and they laughed – a lot.

Kenny worked for Continental Can, which later became Crown Cork & Seal, for 42 years. He was a loyal employee and only retired for health reasons in 2015.

Kenny loved living. He loved his family; he was a very proud father. He loved the water. He was happiest when he was on his boat, fishing, trolling, floating, driving full-throttle, it didn’t matter. His love of the water was infectious and his children all inherited his marine love. In his more recent years, he and Linda traveled regularly to Mexico, where he enjoyed the water from the beach, in the sunshine, sipping his favorite beer beneath the palm trees. Kenny loved living, and in his last year, despite sickness and discomfort, Kenny had his last hurrah in Mexico with his entire family, traveled to Las Vegas with his mother and siblings, and adventured to Disney World. His spirit for life and his joy for his simple pleasures will forever be remembered by all who loved him.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters Andie and Jackie (Dan), and son, Evan; granddaughter Nora and almost born grandson; mother Betty; siblings Donnie, Patty (Kirk), Kathy (Virgil), Pauline (Will), and Paul; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Park.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity – he didn’t have a favorite, he was generous to all.
