Mrs. Irene Farmer entered into rest on Sunday, May 18, 2014, in Lacey, WA. Irene was born on April 27, 1934 in Nassendorf Germany to Max and Anna Graf. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, William A. Farmer (Bill). Irene and Bill enjoyed dancing every Saturday night and boating throughout Puget Sound. Irene helped raise many children in the community through the daycare services she provided in her home. She is also survived by her oldest son Steve Brannam; her daughter Katherine Brannam, husband Kyle Nelson and grandson Carter Nelson; her son Thomas Brannam and wife Jennifer; her youngest Scott Brannam, wife Catherine, granddaughters Stephanie and Billy Hamrick and grandson Thomas Brannam; grandson Dean Farmer; great granddaughters CC and Phoebe Kachner; great granddaughters Whitney Hamrick and Kristen Olson; and her sister Roswitha Roschlaub who lives in Germany. She is preceded In death by her former husband Theodore Olsson. She was married to Theodore for 10 years when he passed from cancer. She was also preceded in death at a very young age by her first husband William Sydney Brannam. William Brannam had a fatal accident leaving Irene a widow with four young children. She was also preceded in death by her grandson Tyler Hamrick. Irene was a very strong, brave, kind and giving wife, mother and friend to the very end. A special thanks to Sound Care Adult Homes in Lacey, WA, for their incredible caretaking of our beloved Irene. A Celebration of Life will be held for Irene at Woodlawn Funeral Home at 5930 Mullen Road SE, Lacey, WA, on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1:00 P.M.
