Fr Gerard was such an amazing person. Not only would he always have a welcome smile, he always had some kind of Golden Girls trivia to brighten your day. I'll miss our talks and your humming down the hallway past my office to get something from the cafe. My favorite memory of Father Gerard is when he remembered not only my birthday but my age and the fact that my daughter had just turned 1. I don't know how he did it but the man remembered EVERYTHING. after telling him about both bdays we started talking about Golden Girls and his face lit up telling me a story about Blanche's antics and Dorothy's rebuttals. He was so tickled by everything about that show and his face and laugh while discussing it will always stay locked away in my fondest memories. RIP Fr Gerard.
