The Funeral Service will be 10 am, Friday, January, 6th, 2017 at the Faith Lutheran Church at 7075 Pacific Ave SE, Lacey, WA 98503
There will be a reception at the church following the service, with a Graveside service at Woodlawn Gardens Cemetery, 5930 Mullen Rd. SE, Lacey, WA 98503, following the reception.

Esther M. (Kirstein) Mau,
January 9, 1927 – December 19, 2016
Esther M. (Kirstein) Mau, age 89, passed away December 19, 2016. She was born at Swans Trail, Route 1 Snohomish, WA on January 9, 1927 to Adolf F. and Emma Kirstein. Esther graduated from Arlington High School and worked for various companies in Everett including Everett Pacific Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co., Everett Trust & Savings Bank, Nepa Lumber Co., Scott Paper Company, and the Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs. She married Warren G. Mau in 1961, and was a devoted wife and mother. They lived in Seattle and Kent, WA. She was a dedicated and active member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. The family moved to Olympia, WA and she remained a resident there for 43 years until she moved to Centralia, WA. She enjoyed being with family and friends, sewing, needlework and crafts, cooking, baking, gardening, singing, writing letters and reading.
Esther is survived by her children, David (Janet) Mau, Kristen (Wayne) Doty; grandchildren Aaron Mau and Jessica Mau; nieces Carolyn Droscher, Colleen Dickes, Konnie Peters, Barbara O’Flynn, Diane Olson and Elayne Sheridan; nephews Daniel Welch, Thomas Rengstorf, William Rengstorf, and Theodore Streubel . She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; brother Benjamin Kirstein and sisters Violet Welch and Mildred Kirstein.
Visitation is Thursday, January 5, 2016, 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Lacey, WA. The memorial service is Friday, January 6, 2016 at 10:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church, Lacey; Burial is Friday, at 1:00pm January 6, 2016 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
