Donna White passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 28, 2020. She was born on May 28, 1951 to Arthur and Nora Ketterling in LaMoure, North Dakota. Donna is the oldest of two daughters.

Donna spent her Elementary and Junior High years in North Dakota. She lived the typical midwest farmer life with a large family, lots of chores, and lots of homemade food.

As Donna started High School, she moved with her family to Shelton, Washington. She attended Shelton High School and graduated in 1970.

Donna briefly worked at the drug store in Shelton before continuing her education at Olympia Vocational Technical Institute (now South Puget Sound Community College). She graduated with a degree in Data Processing. Donna worked for the state in data processing for several years.

While Donna graduated from Shelton High School with Dale White, she didn’t start dating him until after they (by chance) worked with each other and lived next to each other. After a short courtship, Dale and Donna married on August 27, 1977.

Donna and Dale had two children, Brian and Norita. Donna dedicated herself completely to
motherhood and stayed home with her children during their early years.

Donna loved working with children and resumed her career by working in schools. She worked at both Nazarene Christian School and Evergreen Christian School. Over the years she worked in a variety of capacities including secretary, library aide, recess aide, preschool aide, cook, and substitute teacher.

Donna always attended her children’s activities. She volunteered wherever needed to make sure activities ran smoothly for her children and children in the community. Donna also loved to cook, and could be counted on to provide ample amounts of food for any event.

Donna is survived by her husband Dale, son Brian, daughter Norita, sister Peggy, and four
grandchildren Conner (15), Erica (12), Justin (9), and Kathleen. Her parents, Art and Nora, preceded her in death.
