It’s now the one year anniversary of your death. You were not only my brother-in-law but my very dear friend. You and Georgia shared your lives with me and Robert. You were his substitute father in so many ways. You introduced him to photography, flying, camping, and so many other things. I don’t think you really ever got over his joining the Marines instead of the Navy. You even wanted his son, Will to join Navy but he is now serving in Korea as a Marine. My grandsons Will and John always looked forward to our many August camping trips.and so did I. They are some of my most treasured memories and as I get older they become even more precious. As we got older, we didn’t get together as much but I still miss our phone calls. I miss hearing your voice and having you in my life. I can’t say goodbye but wanted to say I’m happy that you now are at Peace. I’ll be seeing you soon. Love you

My Uncle Dee Cooper had a deep, gruff and distinct voice he was incredibly caring and kind. One of my favorite memories of my Uncle Dee was during my time in college at Evergreen. After a day of work in Aberdeen, I mistakenly took North Hwy 101, and ended up in Forks, WA instead of Olympia, WA. My car broken down after hitting a rock in the road, I ended up stranded. My Uncle Dee drove the nearly 6 hours round-trip from Olympia to rescue me. I remember the Trans-Am and the Chainsmoking. He never let me live that one down. I am going to miss him. All my love to The Cooper's as you celebrate his going home and mourn his departure. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
