E. Darlene Erickson, 84, passed away on June 23, 2016 in Olympia Washington surrounded by family. She was born to Edith and LeRoy Miller in Fargo, North Dakota on March 5, 1932. She moved to Everett, Washington in the mid 40’s.

For most of her career she worked for Harold Hall Architects in Everett Washington and was an active member of the Everett First Baptist Church. Later in her life she moved to Olympia and worked for the North Thurston School District where she retired.

She was married to Ralph Erickson and they enjoyed 17 happy years together. They traveled extensively, visiting family and friends in the US. She loved to travel abroad and they went on a number of international trips together.

During her life, she enjoyed being with family, camping, car rides, gardening, reading, and her Women’s Potluck Group.

Darlene will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ralph, her three children, Mike Gilstad (Jan), Karen Borozinski, Sheila Clark (Larry), 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by Ralph’s children, Elise Sampson (Rick), Ralph L. Erickson (Mary), Delnora Williams, and Diane Fox, along with 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren

Services will be held on Saturday July 2, 2016 at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home & Cemetery in Lacey, Washington.

Private internment will be at a later date at Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Everett, Washington.

Donations may be made in Darlene’s name to Santa’s Castle at JBLM.
